The first day of the Fall Season is exciting! Players will meet their team managers and coaches as well as their teammates. They will have the opportunity to engage in baseball drills and practice as a team. The first day allows the coaches to become familiar with the players and families.
The coaching staff will also discuss the practice and game schedule, mandatory concession volunteer schedules for each team as well as additional player and parent expectations for the Fall Season.
The Little League Player Code of Conduct emphasizes the following key principles: These principles help create a positive environment that encourages fair play, respect, and enjoyment of the game.
-
Sportsmanship: Players should play the game for the love of the sport, not for personal gain or recognition. They should encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, and officials.
-
Respect: Players are expected to respect all players, coaches, umpires, and spectators. They should treat everyone with kindness and courtesy.
-
Fair Play: Players should play fairly and honestly, avoiding actions that could be considered cheating or unsportsmanlike. They should accept umpire decisions and support their teammates.
-
Teamwork: Players should work together as a team to achieve their goals and always put the team first. They should encourage their teammates and celebrate their successes.
-
Safety: Players should prioritize their own safety and the safety of their teammates during all practices and games. They should report any injuries or unsafe conditions to their coach or league administrators.
